The Governmental Science Study Program at Universitas Brawijaya was founded in 2010 and is the sole program in public universities within East Java. To create a just and prosperous society, we want to establish ourselves as a renowned and globally recognised program leader in institutional governance, democratic governance, and policy governance. We also want to improve education, research, and community development. Students enrolled in the study program learn how to understand the dynamics of government at the national, regional, local, and village levels. We have 17 lecturers and 660 enrolled undergraduate students in 2024. We excel in teaching and research in village studies, public policy, regional innovation, local politics, and political identity. Our approaches include institutionalism, behavioralism, structuralism, modernism, ethnicity and politics, and social policy. With more than 1152 alumni dispersed across Indonesia, we believe they are an asset to deepening our understanding of local government. Various teaching techniques and programs are offered to ensure quality and comfort in the learning process.
