The Study Programme of Indonesian Language and Literature Education (SPILLE) produces graduates who are proficient in the concepts, theories, and applications of Indonesian language and literature education, have advanced level of Indonesian language competence and pedagogical competence, and are able to think critically, creatively, and innovatively with effective communication skills. There are four areas of study at SPILLE namely learning or education, language skills, literature, and language. The graduate profiles at SPILLE are teachers, young researchers, BIPA instructors, and creative writers. To meet international standards, SPILLE has been internationally accredited by AQAS in 2023.
SPILLE has also collaborated with universities and schools in Thailand, namely Fatoni University, Walailak University, Songserm Wittaya School, and Assalihiyah School. Students are given the opportunity to teach Indonesian language and culture in these partner schools. International exposure is also carried out by inviting doctors and professors from famous foreign universities to SPILLE to broaden students’ global knowledge and insights in line with the developments in their respective fields of study. SPILLE has exchange students from Fatoni University to study Indonesian language and culture and students from Walailak University for internships in the SPILLE study programme.Programme overview
