The Study Program of French Language and Literature (SPFLL) is one of the study programs under the auspices of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, University of Brawijaya, which was established in 2007 based on DIKTI Decree No. 4017/D/T/2007 dated 29 November 2007. It aims to contribute to society and industry through the development of language, literature, and culture that is in line with the latest trends in humanities studies. SPFLL sets 3 graduate profiles, namely liaison, tourism practitioner, and academician. Those profiles are very relevant to potential careers in demand by the global industry. 

Most of our teaching staff hold degrees from prestigious universities in Indonesia and around the globe, including France, Australia, and the United States. Since 2023, SPFLL has also implemented a Double Degree program with international partner Universite Polytechnique Hauts-de-France with a 3+1 scheme to provide students with international exposure. Furthermore, SPFLL has developed a very strong bond with Institut Francais d'Indonesie Surabaya for years and has various collaborations such as DELF exam center, internships, and training.
