The Study Programme of of Japanese Language Education (SPJLE) is one of the study programs under the auspices of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, Universitas Brawijaya, which was established in 2014. Accredited Accredited "B" (Very Good) by the National Accreditation Board Decree in 2022, SPJLE aims to become an excellent study program with international standards and plays an active role in the development of the nation through the process of character education, research, and community service in the scope of Japanese language education. SPJLE designs its curriculum to produce graduates in the field of Japanese language educators, Japanese language education researchers, Japanese language translators, and entrepreneurs in Japanese language field.
SPJLE has collaborated with Miyazaki University for teaching practitioners, visiting professors and other academic programs. In addition, the study program is currently in the process of international accreditation by the International Accreditation Board, AQAS.
