The Marine Science Study Program is a study program that organizes educational processes in the field of marine and coastal sciences, which includes the knowledge of sea and coastal environments from various aspects such as physics, chemistry, biology, and geology based on case and project learning methods. Implementing four scientific competencies (oceanography, conservation of marine resources and environment, marine biotechnology, and marine resources exploration), the Marine Science Study Program aims to create professionals who have a unique character, good personality, entrepreneurial and competitive spirit at the international level by implementing the marine science and technology. Upon completion of the study, a wide range of career paths is provided to the students, such as marine biologist, marine ecologist, coastal manager, environmental consultant, marine science communicator, marine geochemist, coastal modeler, and marine data scientist. To carry out this profession, the Marine Science Study Program provides the ability to solve the problems in marine life and their environments, provide academic analysis for law and policy considerations, manage projects, and increase the professional capacity of the students. Marine Science Study Program collaborates with national and international universities, non-governmental organizations, industries, and local government to achieve its goals.
