The Master Program of Agricultural Entomology (MAE) was established in July 2017 with the vision of becoming an international standard study program and able to play an active role in national development through the development of agricultural entomology and sustainable natural resource management approaches. To achieve this vision, one of the goals and objectives formulated is to produce graduates who are competent in the field of agricultural entomology and able to compete at the global level. In line with these goals, the MAE curriculum is designed to produce graduates who (i) master the theory of entomology, including morphology, physiology, taxonomy, biology and insect ecology, (ii) master the concept of integrated pest management in the context of sustainable agriculture, and (iii) master the principles and concepts of scientific analysis in the field of entomology. The MAE is designed to produce Master of Science (M.P. or Magister Pertanian) graduates with roles as managers, bureaucrats, agripreneurs, researchers and academics. Currently, the MAE is accredited both nationally and internationally, namely BANPT accreditation with superior predicate (predikat unggul) and AQAS accreditation with conditional status.
