The master of Aquaculture Study Program was established by Decree of the Department of National Education, Director General of Higher Education No. 2534/D/T/2001 on August 2, 2001 with the aim of developing science and technology in the field of Aquaculture in order to produce graduates who are qualified, faith in God, entrepreneurial, environmentally conscious and have the capacity that is appropriate and relevant to the needs of the community in solving the problems of Aquaculture. The graduates of the master of Aquaculture Study Program are expected to be able to develop sustainable aquaculture with minimum environmental impact by integrating four competencies in reproduction, nutrition, fish disease, and environment by implementing fisheries and marine entrepreneurial strategies in the field of aquaculture. Graduates of the Master of Science in Aquatic Culture are expected to be able to work or pursue their profession as researchers, academics, professionals and practitioners. In 2023 he was awarded the Priority of the National Accreditation Body of Colleges (BAN-PT) and has been internationally accredited by the Agency for Quality Assurance Through Acreditation Of Study Programs. (AQAS).
