The doctoral training includes collective training and activities of pedagogical and professional situation intended mainly to consolidate the scientific culture of the doctoral students, and to prepare their professional future in the public sector as in the private sector. It allows doctoral students to have access to in-depth training in their field of research and to acquire a broad scientific culture. The research themes addressed by the doctoral training team of the Mechanical Engineering Department are built around four complementary groups of skills constituted in teams. These teams are called upon to supervise the research activities of the doctoral students and to provide excellent scientific training to the doctoral students. During their training, doctoral students are introduced to teaching in preparation for their professional integration. They can also devote themselves to pedagogical tasks, ensuring that doctoral students are introduced to the pedagogical tasks of the teacher and thus facilitating their integration into the world of teaching. In addition to these objectives, other more specific objectives are also set: each doctoral student must have received training in research ethics and scientific integrity. Finally yet importantly, these complementary doctoral activities and training must contribute to the development of the skills of future PhDs.
