From the perspective of English language learners, including those in science and technology, believes that the English language should be given the importance it deserves. Keeping up with the latest developments in each field and its own. Old educational outcomes and a distinctive blanket of community development in the field of the English language, achieving  academic patience in the cognitive and research empowerment of students in the English language at the local, regional and international levels.

Program Mission  Providing instructional support to pupils and working to ensure their scientific, educational, and social needs are met. To qualify students to compete in the job market, complete their graduate degrees, engage in scientific research, and serve the academy, we strive to prepare capable students with the scientific and research knowledge in English language and literature as well as practical.

Providing a distinguished academic mentor who helps faculty members and students achieve advanced academic results. Building national scientific cadres qualified to continue their achievements in the higher educational levels, and capable of conducting distinguished scientific research. Graduating students qualified to meet the requirements of the labor market in the field of English language. Enriching and supporting the ongoing activity of students and faculty members in the department and graduating scientifically and  educationally qualified cadres to teach in secondary schools who are able to deal with scientific developments. Constant communication with students to provide them with the necessary guidance in an effort by the department to respond to the students’ needs and follow up on their academic progress.

Admission Requirements

For Iraqi students, the controls include, Graduation rate of the applicant for the master's degree or its equivalent on the general admission channel and for employees and non-employees is not less than (65%) and the exception of the first quarter for medical and engineering specialties and the age of the applicant for master's studies is less than 45 years  , and the age requirement for applicants on the private alimony channel is excluded. the application for postgraduate studies for all universities electronically and through the website (adm.rdd.edu.iq). The applicant must pass the National Standardized English Test, the Arabic Language Test and the Computer Test. The blind are exempted from the computer test and the National English Language Exam. An interview is conducted after the competitive exam to determine the candidate's eligibility for admission to studies to ensure his physical, mental and psychological integrity by a specialized committee. As for the required documents, they are a graduation document and a letter of no objection from the department or the entity to which the employee applying for studies is affiliated with all personal and identification documents. for other information please visit the website (pgadmission.uomosul.edu.iq). Note that the tuition fees are for one academic year. The applicant must have a bachelor's degree in English.

for foreign nationalities there are three types of application Study in Iraq, first Free with an average grade  65 %  as minimum and age not exceed  40   years ,  second Semi free, with average grade of  60 % (850 USD per year of study (the study includes 2 years)  and No age limits. third :On expense: (1660 USD per years of study (the study includes 2 years  )). No age   and grade limits.  For Iraqi Applicants

  1. The applicant's GPA for the master’s degree through the public admission channel must not be less than 65%.
  2. If the applicant is an employee, they must have at least two years of actual work experience after obtaining a bachelor's degree, along with a letter of no objection from their current employer.
  3. The applicant must have either an IELTS or TOEFL certificate, or pass the national English proficiency test (with at least 50%), the national Arabic language proficiency test (with at least 50%), and the national computer skills test (with at least 50%).
  4. Participation in and passing of the competitive entrance exam is required.
  5. An interview will be conducted to determine the candidate's eligibility for admission to the master’s program, to ensure their physical, mental, and psychological fitness by a specialized committee.

    For Non-Iraqi Applicants (Not Employed by Iraqi Government Institutions)

    1. Academic documents must be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant's country and the Iraqi embassy or cultural attaché in that country.
    2. A valid passport for a period of at least two years from the date of initial admission.
    3. A research plan (research proposal).
    4. Two letters of recommendation from professors holding the title of Professor in the relevant field
    5. A criminal record clearance certificate and a health certificate issued by the country of origin.
