Admission Requirements

The entry to the postgraduate MSc program is determined through competition between applicants based on their average mark for the BDS degree, the competitive exam mark and according to the available seats. This is guided by the postgraduate guidance issued by the ministry of higher education and scientific research each academic year. The ministry approves the requested seats each year. The ministry offers online application system for all applicants to complete their applications. There are other entry requirements such as successful medical screening tests and successful pre-entry application interview .

For Iraqi students :There are several channels: the public alimony channel is free and the private alimony channel ( the students in this channel have to pay  (2500 per year) 


for foreign nationalities there are three types of application Study in Iraq, first Free with an average grade  65 %  as minimum and age not exceed  40   years ,  second Semi free, with average grade of  60 % (1000 USD per year of study (the study includes 2 years)  and No age limits. third :On expense: (2000 USD per years of study (the study includes 2 years  )). No age   and grade limits.

For Iraqi Applicants

    The applicant's GPA for the  master’s degree  through the public admission channel must not be less than 65%.

      If the applicant is an employee, they must have at least two years of actual work experience after obtaining a bachelor's 

        degree, along with a letter of no objection from their current employer.

          The applicant must have either an IELTS or TOEFL certificate, or pass the national English proficiency test (with at least 50%), the national Arabic language proficiency test (with at least 50%), and the national computer skills test (with at least 50%).

            Participation in and passing of the competitive entrance exam is required.

              An interview will be conducted to determine the candidate's eligibility for admission to the  master’s  program, to ensure their physical, mental, and psychological fitness by a specialized committee.

                For Non-Iraqi Applicants 

                  Academic documents must be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant's country and the Iraqi embassy or cultural attaché in that country.

                    A valid passport for a period of at least two years from the date of initial admission.

                      A research plan (research proposal).

                        Two letters of recommendation from professors holding the title of Professor in the relevant field.

                        A criminal record clearance certificate and a health certificate issued by the country of origin.
