The program's vision aims to achieve excellence and innovation in the field of veterinary public health according to international standards characterized by leadership in scientific research and veterinary education in order to ensure the promotion of animal health, food health, environmental preservation, and combating communicable diseases according to the following:

1- Preparing a specialized veterinary staffs of veterinarians and scientific staff specialized in veterinary public health sciences in order to contribute to protecting animals from diseases, and providing means for their welfare to increase their production and sustain and develop livestock wealth with the best methods of breeding, care, and protection from diseases, and protecting humans from communicable diseases and preserving the environment by reducing environmental pollution.

2- Teaching student's various sciences related to animal health, care, nutrition, epidemiology, zoonotic diseases, and food health over the course of a full academic year divided into two semesters.

3- Developing and qualifying a specialized and qualified scientific cadre for teaching and scientific research in the field of veterinary public health.

4- Providing technical consultations in the field of animal husbandry, care and nutrition, as well as food safety by professors of the Veterinary Public Health Department at the College of Veterinary Medicine, with the participation of master's students in providing these consultations.

5- Providing advice and guidance to animal owners and livestock and poultry farming projects to reach the best ways to manage, develop and improve veterinary projects.

6- Maintaining human health by controlling communicable diseases transmitted from animals to humans through food and animal products.

7- Holding continuing education courses in the field of development and modern trends in management, nutrition and advanced diagnostic methods for specialists and veterinarians to increase and develop their scientific and clinical expertise and engage them in the labor market.

8- Conducting scientific research in the field of veterinary public health and food safety and working to overcome the difficulties facing livestock.

9- Improving the environment by controlling environmental pollution, which has a positive impact on human health
