- To be a national and pioneering institution in the integrated management of agricultural pests for a healthy and safe environment .

Program Mission
Building an agricultural engineer capable of
providing information, expertise and high
-quality services in the field of plant protection
as well as research and development.
This is done by building capacities to
coordinate efforts and activities in the field
of pest management, diagnosis,
monitoring and control, as well as
developing economically and environmentally
sound management technologies ,
and to be a national center for collecting
information, implementing research and
developing strategies related to
organizing and managing pests, and a
window for communication and transfer of
expertise and supporting activities
provided by universities, institutes,
institutions, agencies and local and
international organizations to advance our
agricultural reality and face the challenges
of climate change .
Program Objectives
1- Preparing specialized engineers in the
field of plant protection to contribute to
the advancement of agricultural reality
under climate change conditions.
2- Conducting applied and academic scientific
research to solve the problems facing Iraqi
farmers and providing the public and private
sectors with scientific consultations and
expertise to solve the problems facing
agricultural production.
3- Identifying, diagnosing and combating
local and invasive pests that affect economic
crops.
4- Organizing seminars and workshops that
present the results of scientific research
targeting agricultural and agricultural
guidance departments as well as farmers and
developing future plans and management
programs for important insects and plant
diseases that affect strategic crops.
5- Contributing to serving the community by
conducting awareness campaigns on the need to
control pests and involving students and teachers in
planning and implementing these campaigns
during field practice programs.

strains and providing expertise and support
to honey producers
