The department seeks to introduce the role of the civilization of Mesopotamia and the civilizations of neighboring peoples and the extent of their impact and the tangible and intangible heritage of Iraq as well as the fields of maintenance and restoration in addition to tourist guidance as well as the study of museology, surveying and archaeological excavations, in addition to the study of Islamic architecture and the effects of Arabs before Islam and the Arab Islamic arts and the effects of Yemen and the architecture of the ancient East (Iran) and the effects of Iraq under the occupation of Achaemenid and Seleucid, as well as the history and development of types of Arabic calligraphy and geomorphology and the study of surveying and engineering drawing is also The study of coins, pottery and Islamic ceramics, heritage buildings (palaces and houses) and also the study of Arab-Islamic architecture in Egypt since its conquest until the end of the Fatimid era, and the study of the effects of the Western Maghreb and the planning of Arab-Islamic cities until the Umayyad era.

Admission Requirements

For Iraqi nationalities, the student must be a graduate of the sixth grade of middle school , and the student must have a medical examination report, and submit copies of the personal identity or unified national card, residence card, ration card,  and personal photos (8 photos) and must have the average of the sixth grade of middle school (60.57), For foreign nationalities, he must submit copies of personal identity and passport and the student submits his approved documents certified by the concerned authorities in his country and the Iraqi embassy or attaché in that country, and the university undertakes the procedures for the validity of the issuance of students' documents within a period of time not exceeding the first academic year Personal photo, there are three types of application Study in Iraq, 3 types first Free with an average grade 60% as minimum and age not exceed 30 years,  second Semi free (500 USD for each stage of study), with average of 60% grade and age not exceed 33 years old ( 25 seats that students can apply for) . third :On expense: (1000 USD for each stage of study). No age and grade limits.
