The importance of studying the subject lies in its being one of the important terms that the veterinarian graduate must be armed with in order to be able to practice the veterinarian's task successfully, especially in recent times, when the number of people who own pets has increased, which has exposed them to various injuries and reproductive problems in order to perform various obstetric maneuvers for cases of dystocia that various types of field and domestic animals are exposed to, and that is through
1 - Providing the veterinarian graduate with the basics of obstetrics that enable him to practice freelance work and open a successful veterinary clinic -
2 - The main objective can be summarized by teaching students the basics and principles of fertility and obstetrics with various obstetric maneuvers for cases of dystocia that various types of field and domestic animals are exposed to, which will in turn enable him to perform various obstetric operations and maneuvers successfully
•2- Preparing a specialized veterinary cadre of veterinarians and scientific staff specialized in veterinary fertility and obstetrics in order to contribute to increasing the efficiency of reproductive animals
3 - Developing and qualifying a cadre A scientific specialist qualified to teach and conduct scientific research in the field of veterinary fertility and obstetrics .
4 - Providing technical consultations in the field of veterinary fertility and obstetrics by professors of the Department of Surgery and Animal Reproduction at the College of Veterinary Medicine, with the participation of master's students in providing these consultations .
5 - Holding continuing education courses in the field of fertility, obstetrics, sonar, modern trends in veterinary fertility, and advanced diagnostic methods for specialists and veterinarians to increase and develop their scientific and clinical expertise and engage them in the labor market .
6 - Conducting scientific research in the field of veterinary fertility and obstetrics that helps overcome the difficulties facing livestock and raise their reproductive and productive efficiency .
