The "Master of Arts" program of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature is a part-time taught program, not full-time, and the duration of study is two to four years. For a Taught Master’s Programme other than the Executive Master of Business Administration (Executive M.B.A.) Programme, the applicant shall have:
graduated from a recognized university and obtained a bachelor’s degree, normally with honours not lower than Second Class or achieving an average grade of not lower than “B”; or
completed a course of study in a tertiary educational institution and obtained professional or similar qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
In addition to the general requirements of the Graduate School, applicants should preferably have majored or taken courses in Chinese language, Chinese literature or related fields. If deemed necessary, the Division may invite applicants to attend an interview and submit a personal statement in Chinese.
