The Master of Arts in Chinese Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a flexible, one-year programme taught primarily in English. It is designed to accommodate a wide range of interests and needs for graduate training in Chinese Studies.
We invite applications for the 2023-24 intake. Applicants are required to submit an online application with required supporting documents by 28 April 2023. Admissions operate on a rolling basis until all places have been filled. Early applications are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for student visas, personal preparations, and arrival in Hong Kong. Applications submitted after 28 April 2023 by local students will be considered, subject to the availability of places.

Admission Requirements
For a Taught Master’s Programme other than the Executive Master of Business Administration (Executive M.B.A.) Programme, the applicant shall have:
- graduated from a recognized university and obtained a bachelor’s degree, normally with honours not lower than Second Class or achieving an average grade of not lower than “B”; or
- completed a course of study in a tertiary educational institution and obtained professional or similar qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
