The PUCP Doctorate in Physics is a full-time study program, based entirely on research. The main objective is the train

The doctoral student must choose one of the many lines of research offered by the program, and will be assigned an advisor linked to that line. Their training is developed through interaction with the advisor, as well as with the members of the research group. In addition, the doctoral student must present their progress in weekly seminars before professors from all groups. The characteristics of each line of research are described on the respective pages of each group.

In addition to their research activity, the doctoral student will participate in group meetings. In these meetings, in particular, there will be talks or short courses by visiting researchers of high international standard. Likewise, their participation in national and international congresses is expected.

The quality of the teachers is reflected in the fact that many of them have been invited speakers at international symposiums, referees of indexed journals and members of international collaborations in large-scale projects. Many of them have articles that are frequently cited.

Our goal is that all doctoral students in our program achieve academic production in accordance with international standards. Therefore, we hope to become, in the medium term, a point of reference for physics research, not only within the country but also in the region.
