The Postgraduate School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru offers the Master's Degree in Architecture, Urbanism and Sustainable Territorial Development, a program that deepens professional knowledge in the field of sustainability, from a comprehensive perspective of interrelation between these three spatial scales. Thanks to this interdisciplinary program, the student will have tools and knowledge for architectural, urban and territorial conception, from a holistic perspective that takes sustainable development into account.
The master's degree introduces a scientific approach to the problems of these three thematic lines, with the purpose of contributing to the development of research work and project proposals with feasibility of realization. In addition, it promotes a pedagogy based on interdisciplinary work and reciprocal stimulation in learning; For this, multidisciplinary research teams are formed, which are advised by expert professors with extensive knowledge in the investigation of case studies and with leadership in action-research groups.
The studies have a duration of four academic semesters that include compulsory and elective subjects.
The commitment in the dedication of the students and the professors and coordinators of the master's degree, in the advice and personalized accompaniment of the studies and investigations, intends to conclude the subjects and achieve the approval of the thesis or the research work in the term of the two-year duration of the master's degree.
The sessions are taught at flexible times in order to facilitate the student's good performance and favor the time dedicated to study and research, without interfering with work schedules.
