Anthropology as a discipline is at the center of the debates. The study of culture, its processes and its diversity is one of the most exciting fields of knowledge and is, at the same time, one of the most challenging. The contemporary, globalized and interconnected world becomes more complex. People, ideas and values travel in ever wider spheres. At the same time, local and group identities maintain their importance, since they guide people's actions and frequently exacerbate conflicts between small and large communities.
Postgraduate training in anthropology opens the door to participation in an intellectual community committed to justice and the recognition of diverse rights, needs, and identities. It opens the way to professional and academic performance in highly relevant activities for the country and the region. In conjunction or as a complementary study to other specialties, it broadens the person's sphere of action and prepares them to understand unsuspected dimensions of reality. It encourages the habit of questioning, analyzing and respecting cultural differences, as well as delving into different visions of the world and of human life.
