The Postgraduate School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru offers the Master's Degree in Human Development: Approaches and Policies, an interdisciplinary program that analyzes the problem of development from various disciplines. The master's degree trains professionals with the skills to design, direct, and evaluate development programs and projects and public policies, in the public and private sectors, NGOs, international organizations, and technical cooperation. We seek, in this way, that they contribute from their specialty of origin to solve the problems of exclusion, injustice and inequality in our society with a solid theoretical base in the different visions of development.
The master's degree provides the philosophical and economic foundations, as well as the importance of interculturality in understanding human development in countries as diverse as ours. From these perspectives, economic growth is not an end but a means to improve people's quality of life.
