The economic growth experienced in the country in recent years has been accompanied by a growing activity in research, development and innovation (R+D+i) in the sphere of State institutions, academia and companies. In this context, the Master seeks to complement these national and institutional efforts that are being carried out in this area, providing high-level training to the personnel of companies, State institutions, universities and organizations in general, which allows them to manage with solvency the activities and processes that involve innovation and technology.

The Postgraduate School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru offers a privileged space to channel the interdisciplinary potential of the University in the training of specialists in innovation and technology management. In this way, in the Master's there is a fruitful interaction of students and professors from different backgrounds and from different disciplines. In particular, the experience of the PUCP in the field of R+D+i. Distinguished with the National Prize for Innovation granted by CONCYTEC, it allows the student to find unique opportunities in the university for the development of this master's degree.

At different times in its history, this master's degree has had the support of State entities. Initially, there was financing from the Fund for Innovation, Science and Technology (FINCyT), which made it possible to start and consolidate the Master's degree. Also, CONCYTEC recently received support with study scholarships for a group of program students.

On the other hand, the Master's program has the institutional support of the University of São Paulo (USP), through its Nucleus of Technological Policy and Management (Núcleo PGT-USP), one of the most important groups in Latin America in the field of innovation and technology management. Likewise, the Master's program has the support of the Latin-Ibero-American Association of Technological Management (ALTEC), which brings together the academic community linked to the management of innovation and technology and has among its members the most outstanding academics and managers of science, technology and innovation in Ibero-America. Additionally, the master's degree belongs to the MIT Global Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) network, of the School of Engineering of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology,

Goal Offer participants a solid training in innovation and technology management, including the concepts, tools, methodologies and practical applications that allow them to successfully incorporate innovation as a relevant and impactful activity in their business and institutional activities. Similarly, the Master seeks to train specialists with the ability to design and apply policies that facilitate the management of research, development and innovation in private and public organizations with different degrees of complexity.
