The Andean Studies Program (PEA) of the Postgraduate School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, is a Master's and Doctorate program in Andean Anthropology, Archaeology, History and Linguistics.

In the Andes, some of the most important and original civilizations in human history developed. The Incas themselves, with their grandiose universal status, represented only the latest in a long series of complex societies, which from a very early age learned to exploit the many natural environments of the region and manifested extraordinary cultural creativity. After the Conquest, their descendants constituted a fundamental component of the colonial world and even today millions of individuals of traditional indigenous culture live in the territories of the modern Andean states.

The PEA began its master's program in Andean Anthropology, Archaeology, History, and Linguistics in 2006, and its doctoral program in 2008. Since then, it has been dedicated to training professionals, teachers, and researchers of the highest academic level, oriented to the multi and interdisciplinary study of ancient and modern Andean cultures, considering this work as an essential task for the understanding of core aspects of the historical and social reality of the Andean countries and an essential tool for the construction of identity, awareness civic and their development.

The PEA is made up of renowned scholars of the Andean world and is characterized by personalized training unique in its kind.
