Cultural Studies asks about culture, society and individuals, whom they understand as closely linked and crossed by various power relations. It is a deeply interdisciplinary field: Cultural Studies builds bridges between the Social Sciences and the Humanities to study the conditions that determine an era, criticize the different existing exclusions and inequalities, and identify potential for creation and social change.

In a context of fragmentation of knowledge and disciplinary specialization, Cultural Studies seeks to find the connections between the economic, the historical, the cultural and the political. Informed by various critical theories, its key themes are everyday life, collective sensibilities, relationships between different cultural worlds, class, gender, race, the media, the culture industry, art, and literature.

Thus, Cultural Studies provides students with a set of tools that allow a fruitful approach to culture in its relationship with the problems of today's world. The productivity of our proposal lies in the fact that it is not just an academic reflection, but a training to become critical and motivated cultural agents to contribute to social transformation.
