The doctorate in Political Science and Government of the PUCP trains researchers to analyze and explain the dynamics of the political problems of Peru and the region, as a necessary step to think about better State and public policy decisions that point to a solution.
The Doctorate entered a restructuring process in 2015, adjusting its contents and dynamics, and adapting to the new University Law, 30220. It resumes its activities in 2018 under the direction of Martín Tanaka. In its new stage, it seeks to consolidate the basic training and research capacity of doctoral students, through a closer and more coordinated accompaniment that facilitates the culmination of the program with the presentation of the thesis.
