This PhD is the first programme of its kind in Chile and the first, in addition, to obtain accreditation. We were motivated to produce a decisive contribution to the sociology of the 21st century. The continuous expansion of professionals in sociology and in other disciplines of the social sciences in the country and the region, has allowed us to deploy and consolidate this project.
Today the doctorate in Sociology UAH enjoys identity, maturity and prestige.
The Doctorate in Sociology UAH is characterized by an educational proposal with a strong disciplinary orientation, a solid theoretical development, and the deployment of a diversity of approaches for investigative work. Around the program, and nurturing it, you will find the right environment to think critically and autonomously: an academic community of 26 professors | es, 13 promotions and 43 graduates | os, inserted in international networks that allow mobility, developing collaborative research on a wide range of problems and that achieves remarkable academic productivity and impact in the areas where it intervenes.
