As of March 2022, the UAH Law degree will have a new Study Plan:

  • It includes processes of follow-up, monitoring, constant feedback and measurement of the academic trajectory of the students, carried out by the professors and the coordination of the basic and deepening cycles, as well as the completion activity.
  • It introduces changes in the teaching and evaluation methodologies in each subject, organized based on learning purposes and aimed at achieving the competencies of the intermediate and graduation profile.
  • Strengthens the student support program and installs academic counseling in order to guide and support students.
  • It establishes a career completion activity that replaces the traditional degree exam. This activity involves carrying out and overcoming three moments located in the ninth and tenth semesters, which connect a conceptual stage, a professional stage and an oral defense stage.
  • It includes an excellent and rigorous training. Both the basic and in-depth cycles as well as the completion activity enable a balance in the learning of theoretical knowledge and practical skills throughout the training process.
  • It is divided into two cycles: basic and deepening. The basic cycle is a cycle of introduction to the fundamental themes of the career, to knowledge from other social sciences and to the development of skills for better oral and written communication. The one of deepening, offers a solid legal formation in all the structural areas of the profession. The completion stage, corresponding to the last year, provides theoretical knowledge and practical skills that adequately prepare our graduates for their foray into the world of work.

At all times, we will accompany you and encourage you to participate in carrying out extraordinary projects during your academic career, especially in the crucial step through the Legal Clinic. You can contribute in various areas, such as:

  • Access to Information and Public Interest
  • The Criminal Clinic
  • The office of attention to vulnerable people
  • The Infocap office
  • The Migrant Persons Care clinics

At the same time, by studying at the UAH you will be able to benefit from work internships in institutions such as the Supreme Court or the State Defense Council or law firms and NGOs. As well as access to a research internship abroad.
