Sociology is the scientific study of human relationships, groups, and social institutions. When studying sociology, you will have theoretical and methodological tools to analyze social life at different levels: from major socio-economic, political and cultural transformations, to relationships between specific individuals, such as those that occur within families, groups or organizations. In the career of sociology UAH we are interested in training professionals with a marked interest in public affairs, familiar with the great contemporary debates and who have tools to analyze the relevant problems facing current societies. Our teaching of sociology has a strong ethical component, committed to solving social problems, based on mutual respect and open dialogue to social and gender diversity. During our 20 years of existence, we have trained around 550 sociologists, today inserted in the most diverse areas of public and private endeavor. Our career is accredited for 6 years (2017–2023, Qualitas), recognition that accounts for the excellence of our academic team and the quality of the training we deliver.
