This master's degree will allow teachers to re-signify the meaning of teaching science, question their own beliefs about science and its teaching, based on critical and collaborative reflection on their own teaching practice.
This Postgraduate Program is professional in nature and has a duration of 4 semesters, whose training project comprises three areas:
The curricular activities of the program seek to generate spaces that allow the integration of disciplinary-didactic knowledge in the area of Experimental Sciences, through critical, reflective and collaborative work that allows to deepen this knowledge and, in this way, contribute to the development teaching professional and to improve the quality of science education in the country, through applied research in Science Didactics.
It is aimed at Teachers of High School Sciences of a scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry or Physics); Teachers of Basic Education with a mention in Natural Sciences; Professionals with a Bachelor's degree related to experimental Sciences (Biology, Chemistry or Physics), who are teaching and / or are involved in the field of science education.

Admission Requirements
The applicant must have:
- Title of Professor of Secondary Education in any of the scientific disciplines of the school curriculum (Biology, Chemistry or Physics), awarded by Higher Education Institutions recognized and accredited by the State.
- Title of Professor of Basic Education with a mention in Natural Sciences, awarded by Higher Education Institutions recognized and accredited by the State. In this case, the interested parties must take an admission evaluation of disciplinary knowledge. (The objective of the admission evaluation for basic education teachers and for those professionals with a Bachelor's degree in areas related to experimental sciences, is to ensure homogeneity in basic disciplinary knowledge. What is required in the program's curricular activities , otherwise there could be dropouts or failure of courses.)
- Professionals with a Bachelor's degree related to experimental Sciences (Biology, Chemistry or Physics), who are teaching in any of the scientific disciplines and / or are involved in the field of science education, such as consultancies, consultants, publishers ,etc. In this case, the interested parties must take an admission evaluation of disciplinary knowledge.
