The purpose of this program is to contribute to the construction and deployment of a comprehensive vision of government action and politics, aimed at strengthening democracy and the well-being of citizens.


The master's degree seeks to train professionals who understand the new problems and challenges of political action; help to strengthen capacities for government action; and propose innovative and responsible solutions in a comprehensive context of technological, economic and political transformations experienced in Chile and Latin America.


OBJECTIVES

  • Contribute to the training of public officials at the managerial level and to the improvement of advisory, intermediate and superior personnel in the new techniques and strategies of public management, both at the central-national, regional and municipal-local levels.
  • Contribute to the training of graduate students in the areas of the social sciences and related disciplines, regarding the political function, for those who from outside the spheres of government must regularly interact with it.
  • Provide its students with a solid theoretical and conceptual training, and a set of technical analysis and decision tools with a transversal vision of public ethics in the performance of political functions.
  • Provide tools that allow our graduates to evaluate and justify political decisions in the context of the general social transformations of Chile and Latin America in areas such as modernization of the State, directive management, policy design, political parties and legal systems.
