The Master of Arts program places the articulation between theory and practice at the heart of its efforts. It notably supports practical research projects—including fieldwork methodologies for the ethnology of the performing arts—in scientifically informed practice and in research-creation. The program is divided into four educational tracks, oriented towards or through practice, and, for some, affiliated with the partner art schools of Université Côte d'Azur.

These tracks guarantee continuity with the Bachelor's degree programs in the Department of Arts (studies in dance, ethnology of the performing arts, music, and theater) and provide professional guidance in the performing arts: "Knowledge of the Dancing Body: Improvisation, Transmission, Archives," "Musical Creation, Performance, and Pedagogy" (in partnership with the Nice Regional Conservatory and the CIRM), "Performing Arts - Theater: Research and Creation," and "Ethnology of the Performing Arts."
