Progress have been made in the field of brain science, which represents a major public health challenge. The Cellular and Integrated Neuroscience (NCI) track aims to provide students with solid skills in fundamental and clinical neuroscience.


The courses are multidisciplinary, ranging from molecules to behavior, taking into account the varying degrees of complexity of communication within the nervous system. Students wishing to complete their training or strengthen their existing skills may also take optional courses selected from the common core of courses offered in the other tracks. The teaching areas covered are all represented in the host laboratories affiliated with the Université Côte d’Azur. The instructors in this track, both researchers and lecturer-researchers, work on the subject they teach, and the teaching materials are recent scientific publications in English, allowing students to be as up-to-date as possible with recent advances in the fields studied.

Students selection is primarily based on the first year of the Master's program, based on students' career plans and academic records.


In terms of prerequisites, candidates must possess skills in the following areas:

  • Major physiological functions
  • Neural physiology and nervous system function
  • General anatomical organization of the nervous system

Target audience


This program is aimed at students with a bachelor's degree in biology or a dual degree with a biology component. Third-year undergraduate students may hold a DUT (university technology diploma) or other qualification
