The Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Social Sciences (MIASHS) is a generalist program that provides students with highly sought-after knowledge and skills in mathematics, computer science, and management.


Its MIAGE (Applied Computer Methods for Business Management) track emphasizes computer science as well as the methodologies, tools, concepts, and scientific knowledge necessary for analyzing and processing information in numerous socio-economic sectors.


In the third year, a mandatory three-month internship and a work-study program enhance graduates' career prospects. Pursuing a Master's degree opens doors to high-level positions.

  • The MIASHS Bachelor's degree combines mathematics (statistics, probability, etc.), computer science (data processing), and humanities and social sciences (economics and management). It opens doors to a wide range of career paths: finance, banking, insurance, healthcare, public administration and local government, services, and more.
  • The MIAGE track within this Bachelor's degree emphasizes computer science. It aims to provide a foundation of knowledge and skills common to various professions in IT, science, and the digital industry. It is designed to prepare students for further studies in a Master's program in MIAGE and includes an introduction to the concerns of promising professional sectors through supplementary management courses.


A "Transversal Skills" Teaching Unit is mandatory each semester (written skills - information skills - digital skills - pre-professional skills - English) to build one's professional project and integrate into working life.

Admission Requirements

Required training(s)
  • Admission to the first year (L1): Baccalaureate or equivalent diploma. It is strongly recommended to have studied Mathematics, Engineering Sciences, Digital Technology, and Computer Science (NSI). All other high-quality applications will be considered.

  • Admission to the second year (L2): The prerequisite is having earned 60 ECTS credits in the first year (L1) of a Mathematics and Computer Science Applied to Business Management (MIASHS/MIAGE). More generally, any application with a validated first year (L1) in a mathematics and computer science major will also be considered; this particularly concerns anyone holding a first year (L1) from the Science and Technology Portal at Université Côte d'Azur. Students who have completed a year of preparatory classes for the Grandes Écoles (CPGE) in science may be admitted to the second year (L2) or redirected to the first year (L1), after review of their application.
 
  • Admission to the third year (L3): The prerequisite is having completed the second year (L2) of a Master's degree in Computer Science Applied to Human and Social Sciences (MIASHS/MIAGE). Students who have completed two years of preparatory classes for the Grandes Écoles (CPGE) in science may be admitted to the third year (L3) or redirected to the second year (L2), after review of their application.
  • Holders of the following diplomas: BUT 2 in Computer Science, BTS 2 in Computer Science (SLAM option), BUT in Data Science, BUT in Networks and Telecommunications, BTS 2 in Computer Science (SISR option) may be admitted provided they have excellent grades in Computer Science and Mathematics courses.

Target audience
  • To access the third year of the MIASHS degree, MIAGE track, the following is expected:
  • A computer science background with very good grades in programming modules is expected as a priority;
  • Required programming skills:
  • Having completed and validated modules at the bac+2 level in computer science (OOP, COO, DB, Web, systems and networks, software engineering)
  • The C for systems and networks courses;
  • Java for courses in HCI, component development and web languages ​​and the introduction of object-oriented programming.
  • Good grades in mathematics modules;
  • Having taken and passed English courses during higher education;
  • Candidates with a foreign diploma must have a C2 level of French.
  • Any other profile will be rejected or, in the best case scenario, placed on a waiting list.
