The Continuum 2D allows students to acquire a solid disciplinary foundation in Literature, but also to work on the methodology of the competition and didactics.

An option from the second year of undergraduate studies (L2), with a pre-professional course for education professions and preparation for Modern Literature, the 2D continuum becomes a pathway in the third year of undergraduate studies (L3).

As in L1 and L2, students take a mandatory transversal skills course, common to all, as well as a disciplinary course where French literature and language are taught.

In addition to these, there are two Modern Literature modules, offering courses in writing, comparative literature, and literary history. For those who also wish to prepare for the agrégation (competitive teaching examination), there is the option of taking a course in Latin or Greek translation, as this written component is part of the Modern Literature agrégation exam.

The last unit is part of the preparation for the teaching competition, the CAPES in Modern Literature (Certificate of Aptitude for Teaching in Secondary Education).

A short-term internship is planned for each semester of the third year of undergraduate studies.
