The Master's program in Life Sciences (SV) is a program clearly positioned " by and for research ," with the primary objective of training students to pursue doctoral studies and careers as researchers in the public or private sector, university professors, and all other high-level research positions requiring scientific expertise after completing a PhD. To address the diverse challenges of local research, the Master's program in Life Sciences offers various tracks, allowing students to specialize in seven cutting-edge scientific fields. The program benefits from strong ties to the research environment of the Nice region through the participation of researchers and professors in its teaching, ensuring students remain at the forefront of scientific and technological advancements.

The theoretical disciplinary courses are organized into approximately fifty Teaching Units (UEs) delivered during the first semester. This wide selection of course units (UEs) allows students to fully engage in their scientific specialization through a customized learning path. The differentiation between pathways is based on a combination of required disciplinary UEs and elective UEs chosen from all those offered in the program, starting in the first year of the Master's program (M1), depending on timetable compatibility.

Students also have the opportunity to take UEs offered as summer schools or modules offered within the framework of the University Research Schools with which the Master's in Life Sciences is affiliated.

The Master's program in Life Sciences is distinguished by:

  • Interdisciplinarity: a solid foundation in biology complemented by interdisciplinary teaching.
  • Personalized curriculum: a range of courses, transcending disciplinary boundaries, allowing you to personalize your learning path
  • Quality of research laboratories: the Master's program draws on the strong potential in biological and biomedical research that characterizes the Nice and Sophia Antipolis sites within major research institutes.
  • Significant practical experience gained through 11 months of internships over the two years of training in research laboratories or BioTech/MedTech industries
  • Possibility of obtaining CESU B animal experimentation certification offered within the training
  • International mobility grant; TOEIC exam support
  • Entrepreneurship training
