The first objective of this training is to teach fundamental elements necessary for the understanding of the Earth system, planetary and exoplanetary systems : propagation and interaction radiation-matter, dynamics of neutral and ionized fluids, chemical kinetics, mechanics, thermal, methods of tracing and isotopic dating, planetary geomorphology, meteorites and planetary differentiation, impact physics, exobiology, etc.
Students are also trained in how to apply these basic concepts to understand planetary environments, in their diversity, in order to decipher the structure and evolution of the Solar System bodies and Exoplanets. The lessons are given with reference to terrestrial environments, in a perspective of comparative planetology intended to improve the understanding of the mechanisms governing our own planet (climate change, geological evolution and appearance of life, paleoclimates, etc.).
The course teaches the concepts of space instrumentation for observing the Earth and the Planets, by remote sensing and in-situ measurements. Thanks to this training, students have a multidisciplinary culture, both scientific and instrumental, open to the related fields of Environment, Earth Sciences, Astrophysics.

- All transcripts of the years / semesters validated since the high school diploma at the date of application.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Certificate of French (compulsory for non-French speakers).
- Choice sheet of M2 (obligatory for the candidates registered in M1 at the University Paris-Saclay) to download on universite-paris-saclay.fr
- VAP file (obligatory for all persons requesting a valuation of the assets to enter the diploma).
- Detailed description and hourly volume of courses taken since the beginning of the university program.
