The training offer of the Double Degree License " STAPS, Sciences for the engineer " is located at the interface of the STAPS (sciences of sport and human movement) and physics (sciences for the engineer, E3A) in delivering knowledge and skills that are necessary for fundamental or applied research in the areas of systems for mobility, technological assistance to people, human-machine interactions, physical activity for performance purposes and health.
In order to be able to develop technologies for the purposes of sports performance, health and well-being for all types of public(in particular with special needs), it is necessary to know the specificities of human beings in motion in the field of life sciences, and on the other hand to master the concepts, tools and methods of physical engineering. In addition, the design of assistance or measurement tools adapted to human beings requires being able to contextualize physical measurements in the specific field of human activity (human factors). This license associated with the establishment diploma meets these objectives which correspond to major societal challenges related to the adaptation of human beings to their environment throughout life, for all (valid or disabled).

The "STAPS, Sciences for the engineer" double degree license is mainly aimed at baccalaureate holders with the scientific prerequisites. It is also intended for certain students coming from the STAPS or Physics honors of the Ecole Universitaire de Premier Cycle Paris-Saclay on file and at the end of their first year. In fact, the training offer of the double degree license will be largely pooled with the mentions of the STAPS license and the Physics license of the Ecole Universitaire de Premier Cycle Paris-Saclay.
