The aim of this Master's specialisation (uniting university lecturers and researchers from UPS-Pharmacie, AgroParisTech, UPS-Sciences, Evry) is, broadly, to provide students with scientific training based on learning the methodologies of experimental research and, more specifically, to provide them with the tools required to implement the analytical sciences approach when engaging in the study of complex phenomena and environments (living environments, agri-food and biological matrices, natural environments).

The specialisation draws on a set of research laboratories under the Paris-Saclay scope with university lecturers whose varied range of specialisations cover a wide field of analytical techniques (PIR spectrometry, MIR, molecular fluorescence, mass spectrometry, NMR, chromatography couplings) and applications (pharmacy, toxicology, environmental biology, molecular materials, etc.). Particular emphasis is placed on chemometric methods (interpretation of signals and analytical data, integration of multi-technical information, imaging), thus distinguishing this programme from concurrent programmes in analytical chemistry.

Straddling chemistry, pharmacy and biology, this specialisation provides integrated training in Analytical Chemistry, Chemometrics, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Integrative Biology and Toxicology.

Learning outcomes:

  • To provide students with scientific and strategic skills required to become good research project managers
  • To give potential candidates the training to qualify for thesis grants
  • To pave the way to employment in industrial R&D services

In order to apply to one of the programmes of the master, please select the programme you are interested in under the "Year 1 & 2 Master's programmes" tab .
