The Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages MA degree offers students the practical teaching skills through observing experienced teachers and teaching practice. Students will develop research skills and each student will conduct an independent research project that can enable a pathway to doctoral studies. On this course, students will join a community of MA TESOL students at all stages of their careers, along with British Council-accredited English language teachers, experienced teacher educators, and leading researchers. The lectures are timetabled so that students can attend university just two days a week. Typical topics include English language teaching methodologies, how second languages are learned, teacher development and language analysis.
