This course aims to prepare students for the real world of twenty-first century midwifery. The course enables students to achieve a degree in midwifery and the vocational qualification of Registered Midwife (RM). The completion of this course leads to the registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). The course is 50% practice and 50% theory. Practice-based learning is central to students’ development, and students will spend 50% of each year on clinical placements in a hospital or community setting with Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley or Doncaster and Bassetlaw trusts.
