The Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree acknowledges today’s dependence on the talents of electronic and electrical engineers. Creating, designing and managing the systems that keep things running is vital in society, from the generation of heat, light and power, to the ease and speed of communication that we have come to expect. On this course, students will study topics including electronic design, communications, software engineering, computer modelling, microelectronics, power generation and distribution, electrical machines, signal processing, renewable energy systems, smart building systems and instrumentation. This degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partly meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer.
