This degree aims to provide students with a specialist education in jewellery and metalwork design and creative practice. Students will gain hands on interaction with materials and processes. Students may arrange a year-long work placement in between their second and third years. An alternative is an enterprise placement that allows students to practise as a self-employed designer for the placement duration. International Erasmus+ placements are also an option. Students will work on live projects, some of which involve working directly with a client. In the third year, students will complete self-directed study that allows students to develop a personal area of interest.
