Diet-related diseases affect the quality of life for many people, and impact on health inequalities at a national level. In this course, students will meet exacting industry standards and gain the knowledge, experience and skills they need to work in the field of nutrition. The Human Nutrition and Health degree will explain how particular diets impact on health and disease. Students will learn about the composition of foods and the food chain and how to review, develop and evaluate public health initiatives and policies. Students will assess the impact of diets on performance in sports and exercise; develop, record and reflect on professional skills required to work in the nutrition sector. This course is accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN) which allows graduates to apply for Direct Entry Registration (at Associate Level) with the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN).
