The Department is comprised of specialized divisions including Geographic Information Systems, Urban and Regional Planning, and Environmental Studies. The Bachelor of Arts (Bachelor of Science) degree in Geography and Geographic Information Systems comprises 140 accredited units, with the students beginning their specialization from the fifth semester to graduation.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the college, an applicant must meet the following requirements:

1. Hold a general Secondary Certificate in the scientific or literary department or an equivalent qualification.

2. Be in good health, free from infectious diseases, and physically fit to attend both theoretical and practical lessons. If the applicant is a non-Libyan, they must be a resident of Libya for the entire duration of their studies at the college and comply with all admission-related conditions.

3. Non-Libyan applicants must pay tuition fees and expenses by the regulations in force at the universities. This includes taking into account the signed agreements on reciprocity.

4. Before enrolling in the study, the student must complete the college's forms, including a personal data form, and pledge to attend lectures and respect the department's study regulations.
