Vision: The Department of Chemistry aims to achieve the vision of the Faculty of Science and Arts and Sabha University, which is to become a leading institution in education, scientific research, and community service.
Mission: The Department of Chemistry is committed to advancing society through science, and its mission is aligned with the general message of the university. The department aims to achieve the following objectives:
1. Produce qualified graduates who can contribute to the development and creativity of society by providing them with a suitable scientific environment. 2. Develop scientific knowledge related to the field of chemistry to serve the community. 3. Promote scientific research in the field of chemistry to keep up with the latest scientific advancements. 4. Collaborate with community institutions to provide them with scientific expertise to enhance their performance and serve the community.
The Department has several objectives which include providing high-quality curricula, programs, and services related to the study of chemistry. Moreover, the department aims to teach chemistry to students of the department and other departments within the Faculty of Science and some faculties of the University. The department also strives to produce qualified graduates with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in various chemistry sciences and their practical applications to serve the future field of work. Furthermore, they conduct targeted and advanced scientific research and keep abreast of scientific progress. They aim to contribute to solving scientific problems that contribute to serving the development plan in Libya by providing scientific and applied consultations and expertise to institutions and companies. Additionally, the department encourages scientific and technical communication with the faculties of science at other universities to serve the exchange of scientific experiences and enrich the knowledge related to the science of chemistry. The department also encourages the faculty members to produce innovative scientific research and participate in local and international scientific conferences, and specialized and public seminars. Finally, the department ensures meeting quality standards in the preparation and qualification of distinguished graduates at the local and regional levels through the development of programs and curricula and interaction with Libyan and international universities.

Admission Requirements
1. The applicant must possess a General Secondary Certificate from a scientific department or hold an equivalent qualification. 2. The applicant must be fit and healthy, free from infectious diseases, and have the health fitness required to attend theoretical and practical lessons. Non-Libyan applicants must be residents of Libya for the duration of their studies at the college and meet all the admission requirements. 3. Non-Libyan applicants are required to pay tuition fees and expenses by the regulations in force at the universities, taking into account the signed agreements on reciprocity. 4. Before enrollment, the student must complete the college's forms, including the personal data form, and pledge to attend lectures and respect the regulations governing the study within the department.
