The Department aims to contribute to the service of community issues by providing quality education and scientific research. It also aims to raise the scientific and knowledge level of its graduates, so they can participate in achieving a comprehensive and targeted scientific research renaissance. This is achieved by monitoring and studying vital issues at the local, national, and global levels. Additionally, the faculty members are encouraged to continuously develop curricula by updating the results of research and social studies.
The Department of Sociology has several goals, including preparing qualified professionals to serve the social field in all its specialties equipped with academic knowledge and scientific skills, in line with developments in society. It also conducts scientific research that would contribute to solving many social issues and problems. Furthermore, it contributes to holding scientific conferences, calling for seminars, discussion panels, and workshops that contribute to community service and support social, political, and economic development.
The program outputs of the Department of Sociology are as follows: understanding the elements of the social system, analyzing the characteristics of the local community, discussing recent developments in sociology, employing theoretical frameworks in the explanation of phenomena and social problems, using statistical packet programs (SPSS) to analyze community issues, designing a research project related to an issue specific to the reality of the local community, and performing additional voluntary work to serve the community.

Admission Requirements
- Hold a certificate of completion of the secondary stage with a literary specialty.
- Have a good overall rating of at least 65%.
- Be in good health and physically fit.
- Take an educational entrance exam.
