The Department of Civil Engineering seeks to be a leader in education, scientific research and community service and to provide the student with sound education that enables him to enhance and improve understanding and application of civil engineering principles, through communication and partnership with other educational and research bodies and institutions to meet the needs of society in various civil engineering specializations. Employing the areas of scientific knowledge in civil engineering and harnessing them to serve society, providing engineering consultations and scientific studies, urging the use of environmentally friendly materials, holding training courses, workshops, seminars, conferences and scientific exhibitions, and benefiting from modern global trends.

Admission Requirements

To apply for admission to the college, the student must meet the following requirements:
1. Hold a General Secondary Certificate from the Scientific Department or specialize in Science High School. Students from specialized and accredited institutes may be admitted with a degree of excellence after passing the entrance exam.
2. Bring six personal photos and a valid identity proof document (national ID, nationality card, or passport).
3. Present an approved health certificate to demonstrate fitness and good health.
4. Provide a conduct certificate from the school previously attended that attests to good behavior.
5. Devote full-time to study.
6. Achieve a general grade in high school that meets the minimum percentage required for admission to the College in the year in which the student wishes to register for a bachelor's degree.
7. Pass the entrance exam and personal interview decided by the college. The decision of the admission and interview committee will be final after approval by the college council.
8. Non-Libyan applicants must pay the fees and study expenses by the regulations in force at Libyan universities. Incoming students on scholarships should follow the current rules at Libyan universities.
9. Register on the website of the new student management system (https://idpsebhau.edu.ly/online) and provide the issued reference number.
10. After completing the procedures from the general registrar, a study number will be issued, and the e-account will be activated.
11. The student will receive the password and username directly via the registered email with which the user is registered for the first time. The student is automatically granted the University's email and has all the rights and benefits to use it throughout the study period. The student must keep it in a safe place.
