The Department of Philosophy and Sociology is one of the oldest departments, given that Sociology originated from the principles of Philosophy and Social thought. It aims to provide an excellent academic program in the educational and social field that helps to deeply understand social and philosophical issues.

The program aims to achieve the following objectives:

1. Provide students with objective knowledge and scientific and critical thinking methods for all aspects of life.

2. Develop students' skills in social work.

3. Enhance research skills, expand knowledge horizons, and promote intellectual convergence.

4. Enable students to familiarize themselves with all ancient and modern philosophical doctrines.

5. Enhance students' skills to link philosophical thought with social issues, leading to an integrative perception of science.

Admission Requirements

Conditions of study in the Department Entry Requirements:
Those who apply to study at the Department of philosophy and sociology are required to:.
1-he must have a general Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent from outside the country (the state of Chad).
2-be fit and healthy.
3-Submit the required original documents specified by the university administration to the college registrar's office during the specified period for registering new students.
4-to study full-time at the college as a regular student, and not be registered in one of the other educational institutions, or previously dismissed from study from other colleges or universities for scientific or disciplinary reasons.
5-he must pass the admission tests represented by the personal interview, the written test, and the Oral Test, organized by the college at the beginning of the semester, provided that he obtains a percentage of 65% and above in each test.
Tuition fees per year (for National Students):
There are no tuition fees for students in the country of Chad (according to the agreement between the Libyan and Chadian government)
