The study plan for The Bachelor of Science (Bachelor of Science) degree in microbiology consists of 140 accredited units. Students enrolled in the department from the first semester to the fourth semester study basic courses, including the requirements of the University, College, and Department, the student's specialization begins from the fifth semester to graduation. Department message: Seeking to qualify specialized cadres scientifically, cognitively, and professionally in the field of microbiology by providing outstanding educational programs, consistent with quality standards and meets the requirements of the labor market.
Department objectives: 1. Preparing qualified scientific cadres of researchers, experts, and technicians specialized in scientific and technological fields in the field of microbiology, microbial genetics, immunology, and control of microorganisms. 2. Providing high-quality new technology in microbiology teaching and research to be able to provide technical and educational expertise locally and internationally. 3. Understand the rapid developments in industrial microbiology and biotechnology to develop the technical thinking skills necessary to succeed in this field. 4. Providing technical consultations, feasibility studies, and field participation to solve problems that may arise in the community. 5. Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the college, the applicant must meet the following requirements:
1. The applicant must hold a General Secondary Certificate, scientific department, or an equivalent degree.
2. The applicant must be in good health, free from infectious diseases, and have the physical fitness required to attend theoretical and practical classes. If the applicant is a non-Libyan, they must be a resident of Libya throughout their studies at the college and fulfill all the admission requirements.
3. Non-Libyan applicants must pay the tuition fees and other expenses as per the regulations in force at the universities, taking into account the signed agreements on reciprocity.
4. The student must fill out the college's personal data form pledge to attend lectures and abide by the regulations governing the study within the Department before enrolling in the course.
