The Department of Education and Psychology is a fundamental department at the Faculty of Education. It employs 11 faculty members with various specialties who contribute to teaching, community service, and supervision of research projects for undergraduate students. Additionally, the department includes a technical staff of teaching assistants. The main goal of the department is to prepare professional and ethical graduates who can continue research, innovation, and development in the field of education and psychology to serve the scientific movement. They are also equipped with the skills to be creative teachers in schools of education and kindergartens.
The department accepts students who hold a certificate of Secondary Education and grants them a specialized university degree in education and psychology, known as a Bachelor's degree. The duration of study in the department is four academic years, divided into two semesters per year. Upon completing 140 units, including specialized and general courses, as well as educational courses that prepare students for teaching, the student will be granted a Bachelor's degree in education.
