The program's academic specifications and standards are designed to indicate the requirements a student must meet upon completion. The Bachelor's degree program in Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery has a duration of five years, followed by a one-year training program, known as the "year of excellence". The program is divided into three stages:

1. The preclinical stage: It lasts for three academic years, which includes the first, second, and third years.
2. The clinical stage: It comprises two academic years, which includes the fourth and fifth years.
3. The concession stage: It is a mandatory training stage that lasts for a full calendar year.

Admission Requirements

 The student's admission to the Faculty of Dentistry requires the following:
A-he must have a certificate of completion of the general secondary school scientific department from one of the Libyan schools or equivalent.
B-he must have the required percentage to enroll in the college according to the regulations determined by the Ministry of education and approved by the University.
C - be fit and healthy, free from infectious diseases and able to follow theoretical, practical and clinical lessons.
           D-to pass the differentiation exam successfully.
E-the student undertakes to follow the instructions of the college.
 After the approval of the University Council, the college's Board of Directors determines the number of students admitted to study annually, which should be proportional to the capacity and capabilities of the college.

 The college may admit students wishing to transfer from other recognized corresponding colleges from inside or outside Libya within the limits of available capabilities and capacity and according to the following conditions and controls :
1.The student wishing to transfer should not have been previously dismissed from his college for scientific, disciplinary or any other reasons.
2.He must have a high school diploma with the approved percentage for admission to the college.
3.To be successful for the transferred year with a general rating of at least good and not to be transferred with materials.
4. The transfer student must spend at least two full academic years without a distinction before graduating.
5. The student wishing to transfer is obliged to submit all the required original documents approved by the competent authorities, provided that the courses that he has already studied before the beginning of the academic year contain.
6. A specialized scientific committee formed by a decision of the dean of the college shall conduct the necessary equivalences for the qualifications of students transferred to it from corresponding educational institutions, provided that the committee consists of three faculty members.
